Abstract:
On behalf of the Molecular Medicine (MM) Seminar Committee and the hosting PI, Dr. Michal Koziarski, you are invited to an MM Seminar in Event Rooms 3a/3b (3rd Floor) on Monday, April 14th featuring Dr. Jon Stokes (McMaster University). The talk is entitled, "How might we use AI to find new antibiotics?" Research Focus of Stokes Lab The Stokes lab works to discover next-generation antibiotics with expanded capabilities over the current state-of-the-art. To achieve this goal, we develop and implement world-leading machine learning methods to predict and design new antibacterial molecules. We envision a future where drug discovery is highly automated, efficient, and cost effective.
